Coventry transport firm is latest edition to Palletways network

Transol Logistics, a rapidly growing Coventry-based haulage operator has become the latest company to join Palletways, Europe’s largest and fastest growing express palletised freight network.

The company boasts a 75-strong team and has a fleet of over 60 vehicles, which includes a combination of articulated trucks, 26-ton, 18-ton and 7.5-ton vehicles as well as a mixture of 3.5-ton vans.

The company was formed in 2012 and started in the same-day courier industry using only one van. Over the past six years, Transol has expanded into general haulage and international time critical logistics for the automotive and aerospace industry and now has offices in Poland and across the UK. The company has attributed their rapid expansion to the successful pursuit of blue chip contracts as well as exceptional customer service.

Manish Leel, director of Transol Logistics, said “We’re very happy to be joining Palletways, with its mature domestic and pan-European networks. Palletways’ use of innovative technology, such as its Digital Information Hub and state-of-the-art monitoring and tracking systems will also support our operational efficiencies.

“We listen to our customers and react accordingly and over the past two years we have greatly invested in technology fitting vehicles with trackers and 360-degree camera systems. We have also implemented bespoke POD and planning software to seamlessly join first contact to final delivery with the minimum amount of fuss.

“We have also embarked on a national expansion program opening offices in Leicestershire and Northamptonshire with an office in Glasgow opening later this year. A further ten depots are also planned for 2019.”

Barry Byers, Palletways’ network development director, adds, “This appointment shows the emphasis we place on recruiting the most experienced transport firms in the logistics industry. We are delighted to welcome Transol Logistics to the network and we’re looking forward to drawing on their experience to grow our presence in and around Coventry.”

Transol Logistics is now one of over 114 independent transport providers that are part of the Palletways UK network. They benefit from shared expertise and resources from within the group to deliver consignments of palletised freight to market faster and more cost effectively than ever before. The Palletways Group comprises 450+ depots and 20 hub operations, through which it provides collection and distribution services across 20 European countries, including the UK.
