Kidds Transport has lifted its quality management standards to secure accreditation to the ISO9001:2015 standard for three years.
ISO9001 helps organisations demonstrate to customers that they can offer products and services of consistently good quality. It also acts as a tool to streamline their processes and make them more efficient at what they do.
Kidds Transport, on Caton Road in Lancaster, a member of Palletways, Europe’s largest and fastest growing express palletised freight network, provides haulage services for many major manufacturers in the Lancaster area. The firm covers some 20,000 miles per week and handles in excess of 1,300 pallets every day.
To achieve continued certification to the International Quality Standard ISO 9001, external auditors carried out numerous assessments into Kidds Transport’s robust, efficient and effective quality management systems.
Simon Park, managing director at Kidds Transport, said: “This quality management system means we’ve demonstrated our ability to consistently provide a service that meets stringent regulations and that we’re committed to enhancing customer satisfaction. Working in the service industry means this is a huge coup for us and something we’re extremely proud of. We’re now working towards ISO14001:2015 certification this year and further accreditations throughout 2018.”
Tim Bentley, SHEQ (Safety, Health, Environment and Quality) manager at Palletways UK (Limited) added: “Well done to all involved! This accreditation will provide customers with the assurance that Kidds offers a high-quality service and that they can expect improved levels of confidence and trust in the service they deliver.”
Kidds Transport is a member of the Road Haulage Association (RHA), is FORS accredited and a member of the United Kingdom Warehouse Association (UKWA).
